Nintendo Switch 2 Version, DLC For Dynasty Warriors: Origins To Ship January 2026

Although Dynasty Warriors is not an IP that needs introduction, it is certainly one that many continue to return to with each new installment in the series. The most recent – Dynasty Warriors: Origins – takes a different approach covering a new timeline in the series. Came its release, the game made waves on Steam instantly becoming the most-played entry for the franchise on the platform. 

Our review for the game at Rectify Gaming scored the title a 8/10. “Dynasty Warriors Origins is a triumph of the hack-and-slash genre, offering newcomers and veterans alike a thrilling journey through ancient China’s legendary battles. Its combination of stunning visuals, deeply satisfying combat, and meaningful progression systems creates an experience that’s hard to put down. During the Friday Nintendo Direct. Koei Tecmo revealed a Nintendo Switch 2 version is coming this January. Launching on the same day, first DLC plans for the game will also roll out too. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“Play as a nameless hero as you fight fiercely, making bold choices in order to restore peace and shape history in this tactical action game set during ancient China’s Three Kingdoms period. With the most intense combat and largest armies in Dynasty Warriors history, your choices will influence the story and may even alter historical events,” the press release reads.

“With the paid DLC launching alongside the game, you can choose a different path and experience new developments that weren’t in the main story.” Of the same cloth, Nintendo also revealed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is set to launch this November.
