Dune: Awakening – The Water Wars DLC launches May 19

Developer and publisher Funcom announced that Dune: Awakening is receiving The Water Wars DLC on May 19 alongside update 1.4.

Since launching on June 10, 2025, Dune: Awakening reached over 189K concurrent players on Steam, and the game has received over ten updates, including two story expansions, a new map, and a major endgame revamp in Chapter 3.

Update 1.4 for Dune: Awakening will expand the game with two Overland Map locations and additional Landsraad Missions, building on Chapter 3. This update will not add new story content to the game.

The Water Wars DLC will feature building pieces and cosmetics on the Water Shippers, the dynasty controlling most of the water trade on Arrakis. The DLC is the final part of the Season Pass and contains a set of Water Shipper-themed building pieces and cosmetics.

Dune: Awakening is available on PC via Steam. A full release for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is planned for later this year.
