Discover everything you need to know about getting Prickly Pear in Arc Raiders, including the best spots to farm Prickly Pears.
Prickly Pear in Arc Raiders is a Nature item in the loot table. It cannot be recycled and sells for $640. One of its uses is upgrading your companion Scrappy, and you need a certain number of Prickly Pears for a level of his upgrade. When you’re running around the map, keep looking for cactus plants. Usually, the pears will spawn at the base of the cactus, so check the ground around these plants because you never know, there might be one there.
Because the spawn rate is random, every cactus will not have a pear on every run. While the Buried City cactus patch is your best bet, you can find Prickly Pears in Dam Battleground. Circle any visible cactus plants and inspect the base for the fruit. Collect the Prickly Pears as you find them, and once you have a few, put them in your safe pocket and find the extraction route.
How To Get Prickly Pear in ARC Raiders
Prickly Pear plants in Arc Raiders can be located in two opening maps- Dam Battleground and Buried City. You can’t get the bear fruit from the plants, and they can’t be cut down using any weapon. Prickly Pear is available on the ground around the plants.
Make sure to look around them lootable items. Hit the designated button after finding one to add it to your inventory in Arc Raiders. Harvesting fruits and planting on every map is an easy process to get the required fruit, but Prickly Pears only come from cacti.
1. Dam Battleground

Players can find a huge chunk of Prickly Pears in Dam Battleground. The thing about those pears is that they’re exclusively found next to cacti and agave plants. In the Dam Battleground, I found the Prickly Pear in the upper side of Generator Hall. Make sure to move to the south of the Research and Administration building to get this item in large quantities.
You can locate patches of cacti on the northern and southern edges of the map. The spawn rate here is less consistent. If you’re already here in this POI for other objectives, it’s worth keeping an eye out for cactus plants anyway, because you might stumble upon one.
2. Buried City

Get your hands on the Prickly Pears while exploring the Buried City map in Arc Raiders. The best spawn location of this item is on the southern edge of the map. Search Dune’s End in the north-east corner of the map to acquire this item. There’s a cactus patch where the spawn rate of cacti is higher, and it gives you the best chance to find Prickly Pears.

Tips and Tricks to get Prickly Pears

Below are the best tips and tricks to acquire Prickly Pears in Arc Raiders.
- Since this is an extraction shooter, you can also get killed before you extract. So, it’s worth planning for this risk.
- Use your safe pocket when you are picking up the Prickly Pears because if you die with them in your safe pocket, you still have them when you get back to the lobby.
- Avoid taking high-risk gear just for the fruit run. Treat it as a side mission because if you go in and lose all your good stuff, you will be disappointed.
- Because the pears don’t always spawn, if you’re spending too long trying to find them, you might get ambushed by other players and Arc bots.
- Prioritize safer routes around the outskirts where cactus patches are.
- Load into the Buried City map or Dam Battleground if you prefer.
- Treat every run as just a chance of finding them.
- Try and complete some other stuff while you’re there, or grab some other loot before you extract.
- If the game has a nature loot event, such as Lush Blooms, your chances will definitely be higher.
- While you’re hunting for the cactus for Prickly Pears, you need to keep an eye out for other nature drops like Olives.
- Because spawn appears somewhat random, you may need multiple runs.
