Hollow Knight: Silksong – Sea of Sorrow is coming in 2026 free for all players

Team Cherry announced Hollow Knight: Silksong will be getting its first expansion – Sea of Sorrow in 2026. It will be free for all players who bought the game. The studio also announced they are working on a Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, which is planned to be released in 2026.

Hollow Knight Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will come with high frame-rate modes, higher resolutions, and many other additional graphical effects. Players who own Hollow Knight on Nintendo Switch will be able to download the Switch 2 Edition for free.

Hollow Knight: Silksong – Sea of Sorrow comes with new areas, bosses, tools, and more. Team Cherry didn’t dive into any other details for the free expansion. They did provide a teaser trailer below.
