Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Kenny Sun and Friends announced BALL x PIT‘s first free major update titled The Regal Update, releasing on January 26. The update will bring a wealth of new content to the game that includes new characters, new balls, new passives, and some new features that fans have been requesting.
The two new characters have been revealed:
The Carouser, whose returning balls orbit around him.
The Falconer, flanked by her two trusted falcons that throw balls.
The Regal Update for BALL x PIT will also introduce 8 new balls and several new passives. The developer also teases a surprise for players when the update releases next week. BALL x PIT won “Best NY Game” at the New York Game Awards as well.
In December, BALL x PIT sold over 1 million copies since its release on October 15, 2025. In our review, we scored the game a 9.5 out of 10.
BALL x PIT is available to play on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
