Overwatch Rush announced for mobile devices

Blizzard Entertainment announced Overwatch Rush, a new top-down Hero shooter designed specifically for mobile, set in the Overwatch universe. Rush is being developed by a dedicated team at Blizzard, separate from Team 4.

The development team on Overwatch Rush has experience in mobile games. Team 4 will remain focused on fresh new experiences for Overwatch for PC and console players.

Overwatch Rush is an entirely new game and not a port, Blizzard Entertainment stresses. It’s built specifically for mobile players.

There isn’t a release date for Overwatch Rush yet. It will be available on iOS and Android devices once it becomes available. There will be testing in select countries and regions in the meantime.

In other Overwatch news, Blizzard announced that Overwatch 2 has been rebranded to just “Overwatch” going forward.
