Season 3 For Panic’s Playdate To Arrive In Late 2026

Since 2022, Panic has been working as a publisher and platform holder simultaneously with its Playdate handheld console. “Playdate is a handheld gaming console made by Panic, that stands out with its distinctive black and white screen similar to the original Gameboy, which is super reflective rather than backlit,” our review reads. “The buttons are meticulously crafted to offer a satisfying clicky feel, while the crank, an unconventional feature, provides an analog control mechanism.”

Since its release, Panic has continued to support the Playdate in waves of post-launch updates. In 2023, the Playdate welcomed its own storefront – Catalog. The new marketplace welcomed direct purchasing as well as encouraged creators to register new titles for the platform as well. Last year, Panic shipped Season 2 which arrived as a premium bundle to titles for the platform.

Now this week, Panic celebrates four years of Playdate. Part of the celebration includes a new season of games. Season 3 is to arrive later this year in 2026. You can watch the video below:
