Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches for Switch 2 on October 22

Nintendo announced Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will launch on October 22, 2026, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Players will return to Wuhu Island for the first time in years with a new entry in the series. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort will offer 12 sports including Thumb Wrestling, Volleyball, Bowling, Basketball, Golf, Boxing, Archery, Skateboarding, Jump Roping, Prop Plane, Power Cruising, and more.

Players will create a Mii character or Sportsmate in this game and will use the Joy-Con 2 motion controls to play these sports in different ways.

Pre-orders are available now on the Nintendo eShop and at retailers including Amazon.

The reveal came during the Nintendo Direct from June 9, 2026.
