Today, Treyarch announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 will be getting ports on PlayStation in July 2026.
Doing the ports is Iron Galaxy and it’s been confirmed that it will include Multiplayer, Zombies, and Campaign. Iron Galaxy has done a lot of co-development and support on games including Spyro, Uncharted, Skyrim, Overwatch, Fallout 76, and others.
It was hinted in late May that something related to Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 would be getting ports somewhere. The games had been rated in Korea prior to the announcement
For now, it looks like the Black Ops ports are only confirmed for PlayStation. Nothing has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2 and for Xbox, players can play either game via Xbox 360 backwards compatibility with online matchmaking.
Are you looking forward to playing the classic Black Ops titles on modern PlayStation consoles?
