LucidSound has always offered a variety of headsets for all different types of gamers and at an affordable cost. Over the last few weeks, I have been using the LucidSound LS500X Wireless Gaming Headset for XBOX Series X|S.
PowerA gave us the opportunity to review its latest LucidSound headset and we are here to give our thoughts and why you should consider it.
First, let’s go over the features of the LucidSound LS500X.
This wireless gaming headset comes with wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, 50mm drivers, 3 EQ mode, Quick-Access Audio Controls, Voice Prompts, Flip-To-Mute Boom Mic, and more.
One of the biggest highlights of this XBOX headset is the battery life is able to last for up to 70 hours. In wireless mode it can last at least 50 hours, which is less than going the Bluetooth route.

What comes with the LS500X gaming headset is a wireless USB adapter that can plug right into your XBOX Series X, Series S, or even XBOX One console. You can also connect to your mobile device and even PC.
The USB adapter also comes with a converter that makes it a USB-C connection if your PC only has that option.
I should also mention this headset is ultra lightweight which is a positive. It weights at 265G.
Controlling Audio
LucidSound promotes the quick-access audio controls as one of the selling points. They don’t lie either. You can easily adjust the volume of Game and Chat balance and the regular audio volume.
On the left ear wheel you can adjust the normal volume and on the right ear wheel you can turn it either way to make game volume louder or game chat louder.
Not only can you change the audio quickly, but connecting to Bluetooth, Muting Audio, Checking Battery Level, or going into EQ Mode. It’s literally at the press of the button when you can switch to gaming mode, or just muting the audio.
The right button is for enabling or disabling mic monitoring. For me, I prefer monitoring my mic so I can hear the feedback of my voice.
Comfort Is A Question

I say the LucidSound LS500X Headset is questionable when it comes to being comfortable. The material used for the earpads are great. My main concern and problem in my experience is the shape of them. For me, I have bigger ears where they need to be a certain shape. However, this might be better for others.
I would also like to mention they are very glasses friendly and I’ve had no issues where it interferes with my eyewear. The headband does stretch and provides good comfort for the top of your head.
To conclude my stance on the comfort portion, it’s not the greatest comfort for long periods of time in my experience.
Quality Audio
The LucidSound LS500X Gaming Headset features quality audio that is in-depth no matter what you are playing. Once it hits your ears you are more into the zone than ever before. The adjusting of game and chat is a much-needed feature in today’s peripherals. The quick-access is very convenient.
For the price, this is a great headset when it comes to the quality sound you are receiving.
The microphone is small, but it gets the job done when you need to talk to friends online. It doesn’t blow you out of the park however, it accomplishes what you need it to do.
The option to mute the microphone by flipping it up is one of my favorite features because we’ve all been in an awkward situation in game chat by not realizing our voices are being heard.
Final Verdict
The LucidSound LS500X Wireless Gaming Headset checks the boxes you need it to. From quick access audio controls to quality sound, you can’t beat its price point in today’s market The only questionable feature is its comfort, which might vary from person to person.
