Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 Pro which is due out in a few weeks, will have an extra 1GB of memory unlike the base PlayStation 4 which came out in 2013. According to Marek Cerny, this will free up an additional 512MB of RAM for the software to use. “Most of that is used for the various buffers needed when rendering high-resolution or higher-quality graphics, and game assets stay the same, they just look a heck of a lot better on the new console”.
