Microsoft plans to reveal further information about Scorpio before E3.

We reported almost two weeks ago (which was later confirmed) that Project Scorpio was getting more information last week. Digital Foundry did the honors sharing the final specifications for the upcoming ‘beefed up‘ Xbox One. Tomorrow, Gamasutra will have an in-depth breakdown of Scorpio from a game developer standpoint at 9 AM EST / 1 PM GMT.

Our source says there’s a slight chance of a dedicated event to fully reveal Scorpio prior to E3. They also said it’s more likely we will get information the same way we found out about the hardware – through gaming outlets. Design, name and the price could all be revealed before E3 giving Microsoft the majority of stage time at E3 to discuss new IPs, new games and possibly new partnerships.
