According to sources close to the company, BioWare Montreal has been scaled down to being a support studio and the Mass Effect series is being put on hold for now. The sources say that the series is unlikely to be terminated, but rather they are focusing their resources elsewhere. In April a number of BioWare Montreal employees were transferred to the studio EA Motive to work on Star Wars Battlefront II. The rest of the employees at BioWare Montreal will be working on other games as well as providing patches and support for Mass Effect Andromeda.
What do you think this means for the Mass Effect series? Do you think this decline is due to the general dislike of Andromeda? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
