343 Industries has announced that the next entry in the Halo franchise will be called Halo Infinite. The trailer they showcased today at E3 was an in-engine demo of the game utilizing the new Slipspace Engine they have been developing in house. The game has a completely new look thanks to the engine, and it makes extremely new experiences possible. The world looks massive, extremely detailed, and even has wildlife roaming.

It has also been confirmed that the game will focus on Master Chief and his story, taking feedback from the fans disappointed with uneven Halo 5: Guardians Locke/Chief split. It also has a new art style that is inspired by past Halo titles, while also keeping it’s unique identity. 343 plans to host early flighting programs for fans to help test the new engine, but for now they still have much work to do. It is unknown when Halo: Infinite will launch, but we will be eagerly awaiting every piece of news we can get on it.
