To start off Inside Xbox at Gamescom today, Crytek announces they are bringing their new title Hunt: Showdown to the Xbox Game Preview Program, a service that allows Xbox players to preview work in progress titles. It’s a title that combines both the thrill of first-person shooters and survival games.
In the game you play as a bounty hunter in the swamps of Louisiana-playing solo or in teams of two-against each other as you fight for the bounty by taking out the evil creatures infesting the swamps. Once you have taken the bounty, you become a target for anyone else remaining on the map, so the higher the risk the higher the reward.
Running on CRYENGINE and already released on Windows PC earlier in the year Creative Director Magnus Larbrant calls Hunt:Showdown “A competitive 1st person monster hunter game”
