With the upcoming beta for Battlefield V about a week away, EA has announced that the game’s release date will be pushed back to November 20, 2018.
A post on EA’s blog revealed that the decision was based on the results of the collective feedback from previous closed alphas.
General Manager of EA Oskar Gabrielson stated that elements like player friction and visibility will be fixed, along with other gameplay features that need tweaking. He also stated that the problems mentioned will be present in the upcoming open beta, giving players an idea of why the game was pushed.
With the next Battlefield game pushed into November, it’s hard to tell if it will have more breathing room as games like Fallout 76 and Let’s Go Pokémon release just the week before. The game’s previous release would have put it up against Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2.
