Content creators on platforms like YouTube and Twitch who wished to share their experiences playing games has been a popular form of entertainment for what most could say for nearly a decade. But when it came to Nintendo titles, creators faced a strict line of restrictions from allowing them to use any assets owned from Nintendo either it being music, assets, or characters.

Recently Nintendo has revealed that they will be discarding the current Creator’s Program for a more lenient set of guidelines. Allowing creators to upload gameplay footage, screenshots, and collect monetization on any of the content that you upload.

Though this is great for those who have been eager to begin releasing Nintendo-related content on the internet, there’s still a catch. Like most companies that hold similar content guidelines, what could potentially get your content removed will occur is it falls under being inappropriate towards the owners of the properties being used.

Among other instruction such as stating to be affiliated with Nintendo or releasing content of any properties before launch date could also result with termination. The base set of rules seems to be pretty fair in return to follow what Nintendo asks for. As many players use the mentioned platforms before, the idea to finally upload their experiences with Nintendo games is a pretty huge deal since Nintendo’s stricter Creator’s Program took effect.
