It wasn’t too long ago before when From Software revealed that the Japanese studio is currently working on two unannounced titles following the release of their upcoming title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. But before we get ahead of ourselves with newer titles, more information has released for the March released action-adventure title.

Recently the upcoming title’s ESRB rating debuted with an M-Rating, surprise, along with some new information regarding what hasn’t been revealed through trailers or screenshots. In the rating’s description, it reads a more gruesome appearance of what From Software isn’t well-known for when it comes to their titles. “Large blood-splatter effects occur as enemies are killed; some attacks result in decapitation and/or dismemberment.”

Since the game alongside most of the studios titles already featured killing/murdering as a main mechanic when in combat with enemies, to expand off that with more exposed gore and violence pushes the comfort zone for the Tokyo-based developer. The description continues to explain more about Sekiro with revealing that murder also extends to children in the game as well.

cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: a man impaled through the chest with a sword; a child stabbed with a sword off screen.

Though killing adolescents doesn’t fully intersect into the game’s core gameplay; that it is part of the title at all is pretty baffling to say the least. Among the new discoveries, some detail referring to the game’s story was also detailed in the description as well, reading: “battle members of an enemy clan and supernatural demons in frenetic combat”. Despite the lack of detail that was presented in the statement, this hasn’t been discussed officially from the developer and could act as a spoiler for the anticipated title.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has a release date of March 22, 2019 for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
