Obsidians next project may have leaked the release date due to an accidental date change. The Outer Worlds, a first person RPG, was shown to have a release date of August 6th, 2019. As soon as this date went was up, it immediately was taken down. Although this release date was removed, it remains posted on SteamDB. The chances of this being true isn’t impossible since this is a shorter game for Obsidian compared past titles such as Pillars of eternity. The team has been working on this title for two years already and may have the game ready soon.

Obsidian have not commented on this leak yet, but we can expect The Outer Worlds to release on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at the same time. At X018 it was announced that Microsoft acquired the studio, but the game is expect to launch on both consoles still.

Stay tuned for more news regarding The Outer Worlds soon.
