Discussion that surrounds the long awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake has been pretty minimal for the most part these past couple of years ever since the restart of the game’s development going nearly two years back. Back in 2017, Director Tetsuya and Nomura Producer Yoshinori Kitas revealed that development for the complete reimagine of the 1997 title will be divided up into segments as the game releases in separate parts.

Now following the recent teaser that dropped this past Thursday, Square Enix released a press release detailing that developer is still holding true to the episodic release of the upcoming remake as stated years prior.

Mentioning that the coming game will be a multi-platform title, unlike the original title that released exclusively on PlayStation. Kitase back at the reveal of the game’s development structuring shared that the development team viewed the episodes more like separate games rather than how other Square Enix titles like Hitman or Life is Strange is laid out.

Recently this year, Final Fantasy VII just received the ultimate port and is now available on both Xbox One as well as Nintendo Switch.

For any other details revolving around the coming remake, look towards Square Enix’s Press Conference to be held at this year’s E3 on June 10th at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST.
