1st image of Outlast 2 revealed

Earlier last year,  we got the reveal and mysterious teaser trailer for the sequel to Outlast. Red Barrels, after rushing the first game to avoid financial restraints,  was fortunate enough that the game sold well and was, in fact, extremely good. To be honest, it’s one of the scariest games we’ve played for a while and the Insane mode was a great challenge.
We haven’t heard much since the reveal, but earlier today we were fortunate enough to get a glimpse at the 1st screen shot of the game. Seen above, you see one of the main characters holding a cross shaped axe as she approaches a “man” sitting in a gazebo. At least it looks like a man from the distance away, but in true Outlast form it leaves mystery to the imagination.
Red Barrels did indicate at the reveal that the game will take place under a similar premise, just with different characters and locations, obviously. We’ve contacted Red Barrels for more information and will let you know what we hear.
