Just last month, developer Slightly Mad Studios alongside publisher Bandai Namco shared that Project Cars 3 is on the way and will be releasing sometime in the coming summer. Atop of the fairly soon release for the third installment of the racing series, the studio responsible disclosed that the title would offer the most tracks and cars accounted for in Project Cars history.

But despite how soon the game is slated to arrive, there was not specific timeframe or an approximate release window for Project Cars 3. Well in a recent tweet made by Bandai Namco’s United Kingdom division account – Project Cars 3 will be releasing in the latter half of August later this year.

Unique to Project Cars 3 in particular, players will have the option to customize their vehicles which they can then sample on the tarmac. Expanding on the feature, there will be cosmetic adjustments along with interior architecture that can be tweaked under the hood of the car. All in all will offer distinctive experiences for players who decide to rearrange their vehicle’s components before racing on the track.

Elsewhere in a more recent report regarding Slightly Mad Studios, the London-based team could also be working on a new Test Drive installment. A new entry was teased recently with the franchise creating a Twitter account; disclosing that the reveal will be made on July 7 during the Nacon Connect showcase. The May-created account description reads “the official Twitter page for Test Drive Unlimited”, insinuating the unannounced game is Test Drive Unlimited 3.

While there is not mentioned team responsible, it is presumed Slightly Mad Studios is responsible as the team worked on the latest 2012 release, Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you marking your calendar for the release of Project Cars 3?

Project Cars 3 will launch on August 28, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
