Anthem Won't Have PVP At Launch

With Anthem being one of biggest title EA had to show off at EA Play 2018, many fans wanted to know if along with fending off the game’s creatures, players would be able to fight each other as well. But unfortunately there won’t be when the game launches in early 2019.
In a Game Informer’s recent cover story on BioWare’s upcoming title they wanted an answer as well. When asking Anthem Executive Producer Mark Darrah on Anthem’s PvP situation, he replied with a quick “no”. Then later after EA Play 2018 went to Twitter to answer questions on the game. Where some questions related to PvP in Anthem followed enforcing that they haven’t worked or planned on anything yet for it.

As fans might not be excited with this news, Darrah explained that it helps benefit the team to make more outrageous weapons for the game as they won’t have to balance them for PvP. Although with the Javelin having a variety in customization would make PvP more interesting as each differs and how they interact with different game modes.
Anthem will be available for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on February 22, 2019.
