Today during theĀ EA Play 2018 Event, DICE got to show off their upcoming World War II shooter Battlefield V. Showing off gameplay in a trailer along with what’s been added, making the game more fresh. Before ending the Battlefield segment, DICE General Manager Oskar Gabrielson and Senior Producer Lars Gustavsson announced that a Battle Royale mode will be coming post launch.
“Royale reimagined for Battlefield.”
The game mode will use what we already know from the Battlefield franchise and expand on it for this upcoming game. From destruction, to vehicles and to team play.

Along with other updates for Battlefield V, DICE has been working on the destruction in the environment to add more detail and more moving objects in the process. Showcasing a snow maps with the Borealis in the horizon, they show a tank slam through a building and watching the building go into pieces. With not just the material of the building, but also the snow resting on the roof as well comes down with it organically.
Other added features is movable stationary weapons. Players can pull up and tow stationary guns to plan attacks or change a vantage point. Vaulting/rolling will also be added to the game to traverse through the maps. Making it easier to move over obstacles than hurdling it like in previous titles.
And just like Battlefield 1, the story mode will feature War Stories of several people in different parts of WW II. Tomorrow at the Microsoft Conference they will show gameplay of ‘Nordly’s War Story’ at 1:00 PST / 4:00 PM EST.
