During today’s E3 Nintendo Direct, it was finally announced that the iconic bird-bear duo Banjo & Kazooie will be making their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Originating on the Nintendo 64, the duo has been highly requested and will finally be making their way into the franchise after years of being dormant. Finally reuniting with their Rare pals Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong, it is a celebratory day for fans of the franchise. Banjo & Kazooie will be joining the roster later this fall, with no set release date yet. They will be available as part of the Fighters Pass or separately for $5.99 and will come with the Spiral Mountain stage and a collection of music. This marks yet another Microsoft x Nintendo endeavor, and it begs the question if we will see more Banjo content make it’s way to either Xbox or Switch sometime in the future.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
