ReedPop and the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) were planning on E3 coming back this year with a physical convention with most of the top publishers and game developers around the world. Over the last few months reports came out saying that the big three, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony were all going to host their own events during the week of E3.

Yesterday, March 30th they officially announced that all physical and digital events for E3 2023 have been canceled and this is due to the lack of interest from companies wanting to attend.

Most recently Ubisoft announced they pulled out of E3 and they’ll be hosting a Ubisoft Forward Presentation for this June. Microsoft will be hosting an Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 11 which will also be a digital presentation that will feature Bethesda games as well.

Do you think E3 will make a comeback one day?
