After having no E3 at all in 2020 and only a digital event last year, E3 has now been officially cancelled. The news comes from IGN, who learned of it from a Razer PR lead Will Powers, who sent a tweet confirming emails have been sent out to those involved confirming the cancellation.

Rumors have been around regarding the event’s cancellation, but nothing concrete until now. It is a bit surprising they cancelled it in full considering the less hectic preparations are for a digital only event, but the report states that momentum never got fully up to speed.

We have reached out to E3 for comment and will let you know what we hear back.
