Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have officially released Elden Ring: Nightreign for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Within 24 hours of its release, it has reached more than 2 million players, and that’s before heading into the weekend.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is a standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game. Players navigate the twists and turns and various challenges in the harsh and unforgiving world of Limveld – a new land to explore in the Elden Ring universe.
The game thrusts players into co-op multiplayer PVE combat against a harsh and unforgiving world. Teaming up in squads of three – or daring to go solo – they must outlast a three-day-and-night cycle, making split decisions about combat and exploration across a changing map to become strong enough to take down terrifying bosses, including the occasional familiar foe from prior FromSoftware games, at the end of each day.
Elden Ring has been one of the most popular game series this decade, and Bandai Namco recognizes that. It was officially announced last week that an Elden Ring movie is in the works with A24 and writer and director Alex Garland.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be getting Elden Ring Tarnished Edition this year, which will bring even more sales to the franchise that has already exceeded 25 million sales.
