For the past few years, Remedy Entertainment has slowly been incubating a new project in its Control series. While already confirming that a second installment for Control is on the way, there is also an PvE experience underway as well. Under the moniker ‘Project Condor’, it would be the first proper multiplayer experience from the Alan Wake developer.

From the previous Xbox Partner Preview in fall 2024, Remedy Entertainment properly announced FBC: Firebreak. With a release date for 2025, it engrosses fans of the already-established universe that is also shared with Alan Wake and other abridged IPs. This week, it confirmed at the Future Games Show that FBC: Firebreak is coming this summer and will launch on Xbox Game Pass & PlayStation Plus.

You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Remedy Entertainment has unveiled a brand-new gameplay trailer for FBC: Firebreak, our upcoming three-player cooperative multiplayer FPS set in the Control universe. Launching in summer 2025, the game will be available on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will also be accessible on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium) from day one,” it wrote in the press release.

“Firebreak is being made purposely without daily or limited-time events, to ensure you never feel like you’re being forced to play. But alongside that, Remedy has worked to make it as fast as possible to boot the game and get into a mission; they’re thinking deeply about making co-operation truly meaningful, but without punishing your for being matched with a player of lower skill, or who might be trolling their team; and all post-launch content (and there’s a lot planned) will be free, meaning you’ll never have to split up a party,” the Xbox Wire post reveals.
