Fortnite Festival launches December 9 with The Weeknd

The Big Bang Event has taken place in Fortnite featuring Eminem and several announcements were dropped for the future of the popular Battle Royale title. Fortnite Festival will be launching on December 9, 2023, and it will feature The Weeknd for the first time ever.

Fortnite Festival will be its own game within Fortnite that is essentially a Rockband successor and it’s developed by Harmonix. The first musician to get featured in this game is The Weeknd.

Fortnite Festival is a new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favorite artists. Built by Harmonix, the studio behind the iconic music game Rock Band, Festival marks the beginning of music gaming in Fortnite.

Epic Games didn’t dive deep into the details of this event, but it definitely has fans excited. In other news, the Chapter 5 launch trailer dropped today and it showcases new features and outfits including Peter Griffin and Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
