Developer Gearbox Software this Fall with the introduction of Borderlands 3 reinvigorated the gaming sphere as the game recently breached the fastest selling game for the studio’s publisher, 2K. While the title continues to crunch hundreds of hours from fans across the globe, the developer reveals that there will be a Halloween-themed event coming this week.
Announcing the Bloody Harvest event, this new seasonal experience will host a selection of decorated cosmetics alongside the addition of a Halloween-inspired boss. To initiate the mission when the event starts this week, you must meet with the Sanctuary newcomer Maurice who will prompt you with the new objective that takes you to fight haunted enemies for ‘hecktoplasm’.
Receiving enough of this unknown substance will be used towards open a portal to Heck where you will face-off against Captain Haunt, the event’s new boss. Other spooky enemies are shared to be “flying, fire-breathing Rakk-o’-Lanterns and wretched Ratch that have gorged themselves in blood.”
Visiting Heck, enemies have the chance of dropping the newest weapon for Borderlands 3, the Fearmonger. Enemies inhabiting this grim region could also inflict the terror debuff which slurs player’s accuracy and even clouds your vision as well. In-game cosmetics said to be introduces range from Vault Hunter skins, weapon skin, weapon trinket, and ECHO skin. These limited-time items can be unlocked through completing set challenges from Bloody Harvest.
In similar news with timed, Halloween-themed events, Rare revealed that Sea of Thieves will be receiving the spooky Fort of the Damned content update. You can read the full coverage for that by going here.
