
The God of War live-action TV series has been in the works for the last few years at Amazon Prime. A report came out today from Nexus Point News that the God of War series will start filming in March 2026 in Vancouver.
The outlet also reports that casting for the series is currently underway. Ronald D. Moore is the showrunner for the series, and writers for it include Matthew Graham, Stephanie Shannon, Narendra K. Shankar, Joe Menosky, Marc D. Bernardin, and Tania Lotia.
God of War Season 1 Episodes Confirmed
It was confirmed first by IGN that God of War on Amazon Prime would start filming in 2026 and Season 1 would feature 10 episodes. At the time, the report did not have an exact timeline for when the show would begin production.
Amazon Prime Video has also been busy with other adaptations, not only with Fallout, but the Tomb Raider TV Series will also begin filming in January 2026. Sophie Turner was announced to play Lara Croft in the show.
