Godfall Studio Shares Look At PlayStation 5 Box Art For The Game

As we are more than aware of currently, we are in the second half of this year and more importantly – closer to the release of the next-generation consoles. With the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 underway for release later this holiday season, it is expected that both Microsoft & Sony would begin to be more transparent about the coming systems. In that, we have already witnessed plenty of that from both firms before, but more is expected to continue to unravel.

Recently, Sony has begun to showcase the case for the PlayStation 5. This past week, the official PlayStation Twitter account did as such revealing the design with the box art for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The firm for this generation has decided to scrap the iconic blue in favor of a bleak white header to match the console.

Despite the response, many fans are interested to see more of these cases and just that has been delivered. In a new tweet from developer Counterplay Games, the team responsible for Godfall, the studio has unveiled the box art for the next-generation title.

The California-based studio alongside Gearbox Software announced Godfall during the Game Awards back in December, revealing the first glimpse of what is set to come to the new PlayStation console. “Aperion is on the precipice of ruin. You are the last of the Valorian knights, god-like warriors able to equip Valorplates, legendary armor sets that transform wielders into unstoppable masters of melee combat.

“Tear through foes as you climb through the elemental realms and challenge the mad god, Macros who awaits you at the top. Ascend in Godfall, the first-of-its-kind, looter-slasher, melee action-RPG,” the game’s synopsis reads on the PlayStation Store. As witnessed from the recent PlayStation 5 presentation, there are a handful of other anticipating projects coming to the system as well later on.

However, according to one insider, there is still more that has yet to be shown. It was reported that Sony during last month’s presentation was holding off on some announcements in favor of a coming PlayStation 5 State of Play taking place this coming August.
