Grand Theft Auto 6 receives another delay

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 is being delayed once more. It was originally planned to be released on May 26, 2026. However, the developer announced today that it will be delayed to November 19, 2026.

The developer apologized to fans who have been anticipating the release of GTA 6 by saying they need more time to finish the game with the level of polish we all deserve:

“We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

We want to thank you again for your patience and support. While the wait is a little longer, we are incredibly excited for players to experience the sprawling state of Leonida and a return to modern day Vice City.”

Grand Theft Auto 6 is planned to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC release has not been mentioned at this time.
