Nintendo has been silent since it announced Metroid Prime 4 entered re-development in 2019, two years after it was initially announced at E3 2017. During financial results over the last year, it is still listed that Metroid Prime 4 is in development with a release date “To Be Announced”.
According to well-known industry insider, Nate The Hate, the expectation for Metroid Prime 4 releasing in 2025 is pretty realistic. He responded to a user on Resetera who was talking about a prediction for the newest Metroid game to release next year.
Nate responded and said: “Agree on next year for release. The 2025 software lineup just keeps getting better.”
Now, 2025 will likely be a huge year for Nintendo as they will likely release the Switch Successor that year which means they will want to release some of its biggest games on the console. As always when it comes to Metroid Prime 4 reports we have to take it with a grain of salt, but the game has been in development for at least five years at this point.
