Nintendo has released Donkey Kong Bananza worldwide exclusively for the Switch 2. The game has received high praise all around and is considered one of the best 3D Platformers from Nintendo since Super Mario Odyssey. It has similar features as far as co-op play.
Does Donkey Kong Bananza Have Multiplayer?
It depends on how you define multiplayer. In terms of searching for other players online and finding a co-op buddy for the story mode, no, it does not. However, Donkey Kong Bananza does have co-op play where one player controls Donkey Kong and the other controls Pauline.
It’s similar to how in Super Mario Odyssey, one player would be Mario and the other would be Cappy.
One of the other features that Donkey Kong Bananza has is GameShare via a Local User or GameShare via GameChat with a friend. The second player doesn’t even have to own the game if you decide to play with two different consoles. The other option is to Share Controllers if the second player were to play as Pauline.
