2K Games and Hangar 13 are releasing Mafia: The Old Country on August 8, 2025, for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The game is set to be $49.99 across all platforms.
The newest Mafia title does have a Deluxe Edition that will cost $59.99 on all platforms, and it does come with extra in-game features.
Will Mafia: The Old Country release on Game Pass on day one?
Mafia: The Old Country will not release on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass on day one, it looks like. Microsoft and 2K Games did not make any announcements about this, which tells us it is not releasing on Game Pass the day it releases.
Will Mafia: The Old Country come to Game Pass?
2K Games hasn’t been shy to add its games to the Xbox Game Pass service in the past, but it may take some time for Mafia: The Old Country to be added. It’s always possible that the newest Mafia will come to Game Pass. It could be until a year after it releases for it to be added; the future is currently unknown.
We have seen in the past that Mafia: Definitive Edition was added to Game Pass in August 2024. So you shouldn’t rule out The Old Country being added to the service.
In other gaming-related news, Helldivers 2 from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arrowhead Studios is coming to Xbox Series on August 26. This game will also not release on Game Pass day one.
