Joker is joining Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on October 22

SEGA has announced that Joke from Persona 5 is officially joining Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The Phantom Thief becomes the newest crossover racer to join the racing game’s roster. 

Starting on Thursday, October 23, there will be a Joker Festival in-game that will be a seasonal event running until Sunday, October 26. SEGA also mentions that World Match will not be available during the Festival.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds was released in late September and has become a fan favorite among Sonic fans. In our review of the game, we scored it a 9 out of 10. It represents everything we wanted from a modern Sonic kart racer. 

There are a lot of crossovers coming to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Recently the Minecraft Pack joined the game bringing the iconic karts and characters from the series. In early 2026, Mega Man and Proto Man will be joining as the final DLC.
