Latest Event For Apex Legends, ‘Merry Mayhem’, Adds Winter Wildcard Mode

Last Season, Apex Legends welcomed Wildcard to the live-service which brought new life to the battle royale as the energetic game mode offered new ways to play. Season 26 – Showdown proved to be moving in a better direction for Apex Legends. Closing out the season, the ‘Raising Hell’ event for Halloween introduced a holiday-themed Wildcard mode that brought more excitement to the game.

Now enter Season 27 – Amped, many things were revamped. Olympus was completely restructured to fit a better flow into the arena. Valkyrie, Horizon, and Rampart were also hit with major fixes to atone for the current meta of Apex Legends. Came the recent ‘Supersonic’ event, Apex Legends introduced Wildcard Olympus bring the mode to a new locale.

And this week, a new event is here for the holiday season with the name ‘Merry Mayhem’. The first ever winter map is here with Olympus painted with a dusting of snow and a new touch to Wildcard. The event is live now until January 6th.You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Olympus gets the full holiday treatment in Wildcard. Inside this snowglobe is a frozen battlefield stuffed with winter decorations and EVO Orbs that’ll make you feel the festive spirit. […] Guarded Airdrops turn Wildcard into a holiday free-for-all: each Airdrop hits the ground with a squad of hostile Spectres guarding the best loot,” Respawn Entertainment explains for the limited-time Wildcard variant.

For the holiday season, care packages are now equipped with flashy weapon drops with the possibilities being: Kraber, Power Sword, Vermilion R-301, Hornet R-301, Grand Slam Bat, and Road Rage Flatline. Flash Freeze, Do-Over, and Super Cells are the newly added Wild Cards that will be in the rotation as part of the Merry Mayhem event.
