In the ever-growing relationship between Nintendo & Lego, the two companies continue to evolve this cordialship with new ideas for consumers in both Lego and video games. So far, we have seen sets such as the Nintendo Entertainment System alongside the Super Mario 64 opening Mystery Block in the past. But, that was only one tangent of the relationship.

Additionally, the Lego company has went on to rollout other sets circulating around the interactive Lego Mario. Originally came his own set. But soon after an interactive Lego Luigi arrived alongside the most recent Lego Peach as well. And now with March 10th this week, the two hosted a new reveal introducing another addition to the line of products.

During the video, Lego unveiled the new Super Mario Dry Bowser Castle Battle Expansion Set. With it comes a new lava-covered play set featuring Bowser’s castle with the level to save purple Toad and take down Dry Bowser. Lego also teased the first glimpse of Lego Donkey Kong as Lego Mario mounts on his back. You can view the image below:

“Create a fantastic LEGO brick version of an iconic location in the Super Mario universe with the Dry Bowser Castle Battle Expansion Set (71423). Players can explore the castle with their interactive LEGO Peach, LEGO Mario or LEGO Luigi figure (not included). It features an opening Bowser-jaw-shaped entrance, a crane to rescue the Purple Toad from the trap and topple Dry Bowser, flippers to defeat the Bone Piranha Plant and Bone Goomba, a Magmaargh attack function, gym, secret entrance, secret strategy room, Key Block and a Treasure Chest Block,” the description reads.

Upon other collaborative video game Lego sets, Super Mario is not alone. Just last year, Sonic the Hedgehog received a similar adaptation with Lego. Although there was no interactive character, the blue blur did get his own unique minifigure with a set layout for fans to build and play on. You can read the full report by heading here.
