Community has remained a focal point for Microsoft in this new era of Xbox leadership. Already, it has been made clear with the ‘We Are XBOX’ testament that was published last month in April. Answering one of the biggest outcries from the XBOX user base, CEO Asha Sharma responded with the closure of further development for Copilot on XBOX moving forward.
Additionally, the firm also appears to be working on a solution to the ongoing digitalization of the platform. From Windows Central, Project Positron is said to be a ‘disc-to-digital’ entitlement program which enables physical owners to claim digital ownership of their games. Not to mention the recent polling of XBOX which led to a sudden rebrand of the platform over the weekend as well.
Now this week, Microsoft shares that a new initiative is in place to hear direct feedback from its consumers. Announcing XBOX Player Voice, users can now enter in their own requests/feedback for Microsoft to analyze. This will be a public forum that stands separate from the establish XBOX Insiders rings.
“The community is at the heart of XBOX. Players have always told us what’s working and what’s not across XBOX. That feedback has shaped what we’ve built and how we prioritize our work. But we’ve also heard clearly that it isn’t always obvious what happens after you share your feedback.” It is described as “a new place to collect your feedback and make it more visible.”
It continues: “When you submit feedback, teams review and organize it so it can be understood and considered alongside other work. In some cases, ideas will move forward. In others, they may take longer to implement or may not be something we can act on. When there are meaningful updates, we’ll share them.
“We want to be clear: this doesn’t mean every piece of feedback will turn into a feature or result in a change. Building across a large, global platform means weighing a lot of inputs. But better visibility helps close the gap between what you tell us and what you see happen next on XBOX.” Are you reassured with this new program in place by Team XBOX?
