Microsoft Reveals Xbox-themed Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition VR Headset, Comes Bundled With Xbox Game Pass

Although many had an understanding on what Microsoft was doing with more Xbox games coming to other platforms, the messaging for its ‘This Is An Xbox’ campaign leaves more puzzled. Although it offers a broad variety of ways to play in the ecosystem, it is put under scrutiny as pre-existing fans are left wondering what will be left of the brand. Doubling-down on this with its ‘Gaming Anywhere’ message at GDC this spring only fueled the effort for Microsoft.

So far, there has been endless pledges by leadership like Phil Spencer adamant to offer cross-buy guarantee for your library on the Xbox platform. More recently, Spencer expressed this is to be established with the strong roots of Windows moving forward. What segued this new messaging comes from the unveiling of the ROG Xbox Ally. In its multi-year partnership with AMD, Xbox president Sarah Bond even elaborated users can find an “experience not locked to a single store”.

So what platforms does this include outside of its own like console, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. One is Meta Quest. The virtual reality platform welcomed Game Pass in 2023 and even hinted at a larger collaborating as well. On Tuesday, Microsoft revealed the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition.
