Activity on Fallout 76 has met an entirely new energy since last spring. Although the game has shown to turnaround fairly enough compared to its original form at launch, the Amazon Prime show delivered a surge of new life. It was revealed early on that Steam activity met new heights in correlation to the show airing its first full season. Additionally, Bethesda revealed over one million concurrent players were active in the Appalachian Wasteland as well.

For the core game itself, Bethesda has continued to deliver new content to the game which bring players to continue playing. Following the new influx of users, the game was met with its first map expansion – Skyline Valley. Atop of that, this year was also met with the first time you could play a ghoul. Of course, the rise to explore the race is thanks to the show & Walton Goggin’s performance in the show.

Recently, Bethesda has showcased future plans for Fallout 76 and that includes a new update coming later this year. Burning Shores is to deliver a new region to the game and that includes a cameo of Prime Video’s ‘The Ghoul’ as well with Goggins reprising his role in the update. Burning Springs is said to release sometime in December. You can watch the Dev Log in the video below:

“Set in the southeastern region of rural Ohio, Burning Springs’ arid landscape brims with new places to explore, questlines to follow and new events to partake in,” the update overview reads. “Form your posse and collect on Appalachia’s most wanted in all-new Bounty Hunting missions hosted by none other than The Ghoul, the steely-eyed gunslinger originally featured in Amazon’s Fallout television series!”

This is not the first time a Fallout game crossed paths with the television series. Back at the original release of the Prime TV show, Fallout Shelter included a bevy of nods to the live-action show with its starring characters added to the game. You can read the full report by heading here.
