Regarding the added virtual consoles that have been occupying the Nintendo Switch Online storefront for users that pay for the service – there has not been dramatic additions to the two versions which have enticed fans into playing more notible entries. The latest additions including Rygar and Wild Guns back in May are niché in their own right, but do not pull the strings of nostalgic fans entirely.
But now in a new announcement from Nintendo themselves, players can expect that to change starting next week. In a new trailer uploaded this week, the next forecast for the NES & SNES virtual libraries are about to get bananas. Sorry, it’s a play on words, I’m referring to Rare’s Donkey Kong Country which will be one of three games coming very soon.
Here is the full lineup of properties arriving next week to both emulated consoles:
- Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
- Natsume Championship Wrestling (SNES)
- The Immortal (NES)
It was not too long ago that Rectify Gaming began to grow hopeful for more exciting entries to both NES & SNES virtual systems seeing that some less namely projects continued to be injected to the roster. Although it is only one title, it is better than none for sure! If that means more bombastic, first-party entries are added with only one per update – that is not problem to level out the excitement.
What are you most excited from these latest additions for the NES & SNES libraries?
Nintendo Switch Online is available for purchase in tiers of #3.99 for 1 month; $7.99 for 3 months; $19.99 for 12 months.
