New Teamfight Tactics Massive Remix Rumble Update Features Steve Aoki

Riot Games has unveiled the cinematic trailer for the most extensive update to Teamfight Tactics to date, featuring renowned musical artist Steve Aoki. Scheduled for release on November 21, 2023, the free update, titled Teamfight Tactics: Remix Rumble, introduces a music-centric meta and an innovative dynamic soundtrack that responds to players’ in-game decisions in real-time.

The animated trailer showcases Riot’s in-house bands, including K/DA, Pentakill, True Damage, and others, with music remixed by the acclaimed DJ and producer Steve Aoki. The collaboration with Aoki extends beyond the soundtrack, as he contributed to the cinematic music, in-game cosmetics, and even a Dim Mak merchandise line dedicated to celebrating TFT’s new set.

Kole Hicks, composer at Riot Games, provided insight into the unique collaboration with Steve Aoki, explaining the process of creating the music for the cinematic. Hicks highlighted the incorporation of different musical styles, such as Classical, Jazz, Metal, and Hip Hop, into the remix, which served as the foundation for the video’s custom music track.

The trailer not only celebrates the power of music but also integrates key characters, including Jhin, Yorick, and Jinx, into the musical spectacle. In-game, each character represents a specific musical genre, allowing players to create diverse supergroups with corresponding gameplay synergies.

Aoki’s collaboration with the Teamfight Tactics art team extends to the design of two unique cosmetics: Scratch the Little Legend and a “Get Caked” Boom, featuring a humorous cake-throwing animation. Both cosmetics are inspired by the Remix Rumble theme and showcase Aoki’s involvement in the creative process.

Excited players can display their enthusiasm with the limited edition Dim Mak x Teamfight Tactics: Remix Rumble Collection. The collection includes oversized Dim Mak “Action” Pins, graphic t-shirts, hoodies, and a luxury satin bomber jacket inspired by the Remix Rumble and featuring Scratch, the Convergence’s newest DJ.

Teamfight Tactics: Remix Rumble is set to launch on PC and mobile on November 21, 2023, with complete cross-play and cross-progression. The update also brings a UX refresh to the mobile version, aligning it visually and functionally with the PC experience, and introduces official tablet support.
