Newest ‘Super Duper Update’ For Grounded Introduces The Titular Duplicating Machine And Wasps

While Grounded has remained an ongoing project for Obsidian Entertainment since the game’s announcement back in fall 2019, the developer this past September officially released the title for Xbox systems and PC. And that is only the start of it – a TV animated series is also in the works for the online, backyard adventure title as well.

Even more, the game also celebrates more than 15 million players logging in across Xbox & PC. But of course, the project is also continuing to expand as well the way we see it. The previous update for the game – The Bugs Strike Back – featured new faction elements when defending your base atop of Waft Emitter to decide on what insects to call.

Now this week, Grounded welcomes a new update with the ‘Super Duper Update’. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:

“The Grounded team is excited to bring update 1.2 to the community today. Rightfully titled the Super Duper update, this massive update brings with it many quality-of-life changes, more than 100 new items to craft, a brand new Base Coziness feature, and the terrifying new wasps,” Obsidian Entertainment senior communications manager Shyla Schofield writes.

The blog post goes on to mention dedicated Steam Deck support will also roll out as part of the new update as well. “Players on the go are about to get a pleasant surprise as the team has been able to get Grounded on the official Steam Deck support list. That’s right! Those on Team Steam Deck can now fully enjoy Grounded wherever they are.”
