Discover everything you need to know about unlocking Shoreline Hideout in Path of Exile 2, including its usage.
Shoreline Hideout in Path of Exile 2 is an unlockable personal instance that is found on the island of Waka Panu. However, this is accessible after completing the early campaign and finding Makoru in King’s March.
This unique feature enhances your gameplay experience and makes your progression smooth, so make sure to unlock it in the first place. Speak with an NPC named Ange to trigger the Hostile Takeover side quest to get Shoreline Hideout. In this guide, we’ll discuss how to unlock Shoreline Hideout, along with some main objectives to focus on.
How to Unlock Hostile Takeover in Path of Exile 2
Speak with the Ange in Kingsmarch after reaching Act 4. You can find her on the right side near the ship, close to Rog’s shop. Interacting with Ange will allow you to trigger the Hostile Takeover quest in the game.

Make your way to Whakapanu Island and locate the entrance of the Singing Caverns. Here, you will encounter Diamora, Song of Death, whom you need to defeat in the first place. Diamora, the Song of Death, can be located in the Chamber of Echoes in the Singing Caverns.
After defeating this boss, travel back to the Ange in Kingsmarch and speak with her. After that, you need to teleport to the Shoreline Hideout by clicking the Travel to Shoreline Hideout dialogue option. You will encounter a cluster of enemies within the Shortline Hideout. Equip your best weapon and defeat them to progress further.
Talk to Ange
Speak with the Ange and select the Select Hideout option after defeating all the enemies in that location. Make sure to invite Ange to your personal hideout and talk to her over there to complete the quest. Completing the Hostile Takeover quest allows you to gain Shoreline Hideout and a Merchant NPC as a reward. You can either obtain them after completing the full quest or finishing a specific objective.
How to Use Shoreline Hideout
Speak with the Ange during the Hostile Takeover quest to make use of Shoreline Hideout for the first time. Speaking to her allows you to teleport to your preferred hideout. Using Waypoints also enables you to teleport to the Hideout, so press the button on the right side of the screen.
Open the Hideout Menu and press Select Hideout to swap to your preferred hideout, allowing you to switch hideouts. However, this is only possible if you have already unlocked a hideout before acquiring Shoreline Hideout.
