In 2024, many were pleasantly satisfied with the release of Persona 3 Reload. “Despite being a remake, Persona 3 Reload is undoubtedly at the forefront of mainline Persona titles,” our review reads. “Fans have been asking for a re-imagining of Persona 3 for the longest time and Atlus has finally answered their calls. The game appeals to both fans and newcomers of the series, as it offers a compelling story, memorable characters, and addictive gameplay, all through a modern lens.”
Since the game’s arrival, it has been a success for Sega & Atlus. It easily broke milestones for the Japanese firms with Persona 3 Reload shipping over 1 million units within the first week. Additionally, rumors have continuously pushed to more versions for the game. Looking ahead back in 2024, it was claimed a Nintendo Switch successor port was in the works.
Now this week, it was confirmed Nintendo Switch 2 will be welcoming Persona 3 Reload later this fall. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:
“Enter the Dark Hour where the line between the ordinary and supernatural blur in Persona 3 Reload. Experience the reimagining of this genre-defining RPG, where players step into the shoes of a transfer student thrust into an adventure when they enter the hour “hidden” between one day and the next. During the day, spend your time forging bonds with unforgettable characters.”
The game description continues: “At night, awaken an incredible power to chase the mysteries of the Dark Hour and fight for your friends.” This is not the first Atlus game on Nintendo Switch 2 though. Last month, the developer shipped Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army. You can read the full report by heading here.
