While it is understandable for Halo fans to feel deprived on the current situation for the franchise with Halo Infinite slated to arrive next year, it is even more level-minded to see followers take interest in the recent claims that broke out for the game. While there are some corroborating statements that do align with previous reports regarding the next installment, nothing is official until 343 Industries makes the announcement.

In the boatload of rumors made, the claims tell that Halo Infinite firstly would arrive sometime in Q1 this coming spring – a report that was made previously. And again, talks of a potential battle royale is also mentioned which was also told to take place predating the recent claim. Additionally, it also mentions two spin-off entries including Halo Wars 3 and a Team Osiris entry which both connect directly to Halo Infinite.

But when glancing over 343 Industries’ Community Director Brian Jarrard on Twitter, he reveals that the holiday season has arrived with “unfounded Halo Infinite rumors”. He then goes on to mention “real news” can ease the tides made by the string of rumors in a later thread.

Jarrard then goes to reference the previously-mentioned “high-level” update that will be coming in the approaching weeks. While the showcase will not be attending 2020’s The Game Awards, it was suspected that the presentation would be held sometime before the calendar year closes. The Community Director states this will be a “year-end update”.

Given that Jarrard denounces the bulk of the rumors, it is best for the claims to remain bunk leading forward. As already elaborating that the supposed information does parallel with reports made previously, it is now tied to the bulk of inaccuracies and is now issued to be unsustaining leading forward. Noted, the original tread of the rumors is not up anymore if that says anything.

Are you waiting for the coming Halo Infinite update to take place?

Halo Infinite is set to release sometime in 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
