2015 has been a terrific year for gamers from your favorite First Person Shooter to your favorite racing game. This year has provided gamer’s a ton of options to choose from making it the biggest year in gaming yet. So the Rectify Gaming team have been making their Top 10 game list of the year which has been tough for all of us, the list you see below are voted by us and we tallied up all of them together and made our Top 10 game list. This includes games on the Playstation 4, Wii U, and Xbox One.  Let’s get started

rcg 10

There shouldn’t be a big surprise that this game made our top 10 list. The first Batman game from Rocksteady Studios, had the sense of a fresh beginning for superhero action games. Batman: Arkham Knight has a sense of finality. Batman: Arkham Knight has been a game that was talked about all year long and did good in its first week of sales. Batman: Arkham Knight’s first week sales surpassed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s sales at that time in the year. Batman: Arkham Knight is available on Xbox One or Playstation 4.

Super Mario Maker is another one that was up high in the voting within our team and without a doubt it’s a great game. Super Mario Maker is definitely a unique game for Nintendo but this is something Nintendo needs, fans get creative and create some crazy maps that you would have never thought of.  Super Mario Maker’s review scores have also been high with an 88 on Metacritic. The game is exclusively available on the Nintendo Wii U.

Yet again, another Call of Duty has launched in 2015 this time by Treyarch. Continuing the Black Ops series, when most fans heard of the announcement we were a little skeptical about how it was going to be. With a friend in tow, Black Ops 3 becomes one of the most varied and enjoyable shooters on current-gen hardware. You can play Call of Duty Black Ops 3 on Xbox One and Playstation 4.

rcg 7

We can’t forget about Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, often we always leave out a game series like Assassin’s Creed. The Assassin’s Creed series struggles with the idea of inheritance. Like its Templars and Assassins, who are locked in a never-ending struggle for relics, each game picks a side in the question of how strongly should it lean into its now-convoluted ancient lore and incorporate the still-underdeveloped present-day elements. Reviews for this game have been pretty good. This is one game that has a lot of ups and downs but we had to put it in our top 10.

rcg 6

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been awarded Game of The Year at The Game Awards 2015 and has been nominated in a bunch of  categories. The Witcher is a story-driven, next-generation open world role-playing game, set in a visually stunning fantasy universe, full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. The game comes out with DLC often as well so you can always come back to it. Not only is the game great but the soundtrack is amazing itself.

rcg 5

There’s incredible power to Bloodborne. It’s not just an amazing dance of dodges and swipes through encounters that often push the limits of reflexes and endurance. Though extended load times and minor frame-rate hitches have an effect on the pacing, it’s otherwise an intensely challenging and rewarding game. You can only play Bloodborne on Playstation 4.

rcg 4

Fallout 4 is another one that could have easily been Game of The Year but with how highly competitive 2015 it came out short. The game made over $750 Million in 24 hours. Fallout 4 is an engrossing game that lures you in with mystery and the promise of adventure. Its wretched wasteland can be captivating, and you never know what odd person or settlement lies around the next bend. The game is available on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

rcg 3

Rise of The Tomb Raider is a timed exclusive for the Xbox One. It will be launching on PC January 2016, and later in 2016 for Playstation 4. It’s one of the most beautiful games i have played as you step into you are stunned by the sky-box and the environment. This game without a doubt is up there in the game of the year category for sure.

rcg 2

Now, this one maybe a shocker for this game to be in our #2 spot but most of it would have to be due to the hype of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Star Wars: Battlefront brings a lot of multiplayer options to the table so you can choose from a great variety of game modes. EA has not let us down with the multiplayer in this game. Play it now on Playstation 4 or Xbox One.

rcg 1

One of the best marketed games of 2015, Halo 5: Guardians had to be our #1 game of the year. Most competitive game of 2015, multiplayer is balanced for casuals and competitive fans with forge, campaign, and customs. The Campaign featuring 15 missions between Team Osiris and Blue Team calls for an intense start and ending that will twist your mind. Forge is at its best with tons of new features and with updates coming monthly for custom games, multiplayer and forge the possibilities are endless. Free DLC, the way 343 handled the micro-transactions was a very smart idea because you don’t have to buy REQ packs and you do not have to buy DLC. One more thing i forgot to mention, it’s all on dedicated servers! 343 has built one of the best games of 2015.

Now there are so many games that could have been on this list but like we said 2015 has been a hectic year for games but here are our 3 runner ups:

Forza Motorsport 6

ARK: Survival Evolved

Ori and The Blind Forest

Let us know your top picks of 2015!
